Atlas Apps was founded in late summer 2021 with the aim of developing and publishing innovative mobile applications. The founder of Atlas Apps had a particular interest in creating a new app called Speed Blackjack, inspired by the recent legalization of online gambling and sports betting in Michigan. Dissatisfied with existing Blackjack learning and practice apps, the founder saw an opportunity to offer a unique and improved experience.

However, when attempting to publish the app under their individual developer account, they encountered a roadblock. Apple has restrictions in place that prevent individual developers from releasing simulated gambling apps. This restriction prompted the founder to establish Atlas Apps as a company, enabling them to navigate the necessary regulations and requirements to publish the Speed Blackjack app on the App Store.

By founding Atlas Apps, the founder was able to overcome the obstacle posed by Apple's restrictions and proceed with the development and release of Speed Blackjack, providing users with a fresh and engaging gambling app experience.
