When I was about 10 years old, I fell in love with computers. I spent my spare time with Atari 800’s, TI-99 4/A’s, and ultimately an Apple IIc. I was so passionate about computers that I’d spend late nights and weekends at the University of Washington computer center finding my way into faculty accounts on their VAX/VMS system. It was there that I discovered the ARPANET, what was to become known as the Internet years later. Needless to say, my passion for the digital world never ceased. In the early 90's I could see where the Internet was going, even though at that time the online world was still AOL and most people hadn't heard of 'the net'. Netscape and the ‘web’ were still years away. Shortly after starting, and later selling, Iowa’s first dial up Internet provider(and after a few other endeavors) I founded Red 5 Interactive in January of 1996--right as the web was emerging. This was the nexus where technology and marketing I’d used in my earlier business efforts converged. I realized that I could help other businesses use these interactive technologies to grow their businesses as well.
